  • What type of marquee do Executive Marquees hire – traditional or aluminium framed?

All our marquees are aluminium framed clearspan. This means that they can be erected on nearly any surface causing minimum damage. Unlike traditional marquees, aluminium framed marquees also have the added advantage of no centre poles or guy ropes.

  • What size of marquee will I need?

We have various sizes of marquees available ranging from 3m to 20m in width. The smallest length of marquee is 10m and can be extended in bays of 5m. As each event is different and the requirements are individual to each event, we can only provide an approximate idea of the size of marquee that you will need.

A wedding, catering for 100-200 people with a reception area and an area for dancing would require a 20m x 15m marquee. A wedding catering for approximately 200 people would require a 15 m x 25m marquee. This also includes space for a reception & dancing.

Remember, these are minimum space requirements and usually in addition to the main marquee, a kitchen marquee would also be needed, but this would depend on your caterer.

  • How much will it cost?

Each event varies in price, depending on the type of function, number of people attending the function and the location. For this reason, each is priced independently. Please contact us so that a quote can be issued.

  • How about safety?

All of our equipment complies with fire regulations. Upon request, we can also supply fire extinguishers. Our qualified electrician can undertake all electrics (lighting, kitchen power supplies etc) and a certificate can be issued on site. Risk assessment carried out.

  • Does the ground have to be level?

Our marquee can be erected on most surfaces, including concrete, hard core, gravel, paving stones, grass and tarmac. Within reason it is possible to build up the ground so that the marquee is level, but this will cost more.

  • When should I book my marquee?

Most people tend to book their marquee 6 months to a year in advance, especially when it is required during the very busy months of June to September. We would advise you to contact us for a quote at the earliest opportunity to avoid disappointment.
